The second release of Repique Records is out now. This one comes from the soul of Lubolo. Lubolo is the name given to white people that paints their faces with black to be able to play Candombe drums, which originally was just for the African slaves in Uruguay. Javier Zugarramurdi adopts this pseudonym in order to play Candombe flavored rhythms live with his modular-synthesizer.
You can download this release from repique.bandcamp.com in any digital format you want. You can get it for free or pay the amount you want. All the money collected from Repique releases goes to a savings account aiming to press the first Repique vinyl record.
We hope you enjoy this second release as we enjoy it at contumancia.com
