Alquimia by Todo
Many times people ask me, are you an artist? Are you gay? Are you this or that? But honestly I do not like labels. This is why I like to reply, I am Todo (todo means everything in spanish). I just love to do art, music, paintings, sound, visuals, designs photography and others. But most importantly I like to do art naturally, when I feel like doing it. I went to a Waldorf school as a kid and I learned to listen to myself. When art comes naturally the results are fresh and honest. And when I dive into what I’m doing time cease to exist and magic happens in the form of mistakes or new discoveries.
On this new music I am presenting here that was exactly the case. Or you wont be here listening to it. I wont be explaining what was the mistake or the new discovery or the magic on it cause alchemy is a very complex thing to explain with words, so I just invite you to close your eyes listen and discover by yourself.
Album recorded live at the Alquimia Studio in Berlin on the night of the 23 to 24th of February 2023 direct into a DAT recorder. All music was programmed and performed by Javier Zugarramurdi Garcia aka Todo featuring Paulette on the clarinet.
Ondas
Ondas is an ambient-experimental project focused on exploring sound-waves, Ondas is the Spanish word for waves. The Ondas EP entitled ‘Waves’ on Contumancia bring us 3 tracks with different waves, micro, ultraviolet and gamma. You can experience the Ondas waves in the following set.
Ambas
Ambas is a micro-jazz duo formed by bassist Yonatan Levi and synthesist Javier Zugarramurdi García. The duo formed by coincidence in Berlin when Levi purchased records from Zugarramurdi’s Discogs collection. When Levi went to pickup the records at Zugarramurdi’s an instant musical connection was made and that lead to jams and recordings to en up wapping an EP entitled ‘Them’ that you can listen just right here.
Gruvaldo
Veteran techno-act Gruvaldo enters on Contumancia with his Sopa EP droping a whole new approach to sound. The sound quality, stereo and space on Gruvaldo’s recordings are out of this world.
